    Leonard M. Zimmerman, 60, of Rutledge, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016, at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.

    He was born in Richland, Pennsylvania on February 21, 1956, the son of Paul N. and Lydia Z. Martin Zimmerman.

    He moved from Pennsylvania to northeast Missouri in 1973 and on November 4, 1978, he married Sandra Jean Stauffer near Rutledge, Missouri.

    Leonard is survived by his wife, Sandra Zimmerman of Rutledge, Missouri; his parents, Paul and Lydia Zimmerman of Rutledge, Missouri; six children, Amy Rochelle and Dean Miller of Linn, Missouri, Clinton Lyle and Beverly Zimmerman of Memphis, Missouri, Quintina Renee Zimmerman of Linn, Missouri, Bertha Nadine and Shelton Zeiset of Knox City, Missouri, Chad Weston Zimmerman of Rutledge, Missouri and Wendel Shane Zimmerman of Rutledge, Missouri; five brothers, Glenn Zimmerman of Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania, Irwin and Frances Zimmerman of Rutledge, Missouri, Paul Jr. and Elaine Zimmerman of Rutledge, Missouri, Luke and Sevilla Zimmerman of Rutledge, Missouri, and Nathan and Mary Joyce Zimmerman of Rutledge, Missouri; four sisters, Ellanor Zimmerman of Rutledge, Missouri, Verna Haldeman of Rutledge, Missouri, Anna Zimmerman of Petersburg, West Virginia and Rachel and Stanley Weiler of Edina, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Lucinda Zimmerman of Kirksville, Missouri; ten grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

    Leonard was preceded in death by a brother, Enos Zimmerman and a brother-in-law, Harry Haldeman.

    Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center south of Memphis, Missouri.

    Visitation will be Monday, August 8, 2016, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center south of Memphis, Missouri.

    Burial will be in the Cumberland Church Cemetery west of Memphis, Missouri.

    Officiating the services will be Darin Shank and Nathan Zimmerman. Casket Bearers will be Clinton Zimmerman, Chad Zimmerman, Wendel Zimmerman, Dean Miller, Shelton Zeiset, and Glenn Zimmerman.

    The Doss Funeral Home of Edina, Missouri is in charge of arrangements.
