    Timothy “Tim” Frank McCauley, 50, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at his home with his family by his side.

    Tim was born on July 2, 1964, in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of John “Jack” Edward and Elnor “Evie” Yvonne Hettinger McCauley.

    He graduated from the St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School in Edina, Missouri, in the Class of 1979 and graduated from the Knox County High School in the Class of 1983. Tim continued his education and received an Associate Degree in Accounting and Business Management from Sanford Brown College of Business in St. Ann, Missouri.

    On September 18, 1993, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, Missouri, Tim married Melissa Dawn Chewning and to this union three children were born.

    He was a life long member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, serving in the Knights of Columbus as a Third Degree Knight.

    He had worked for his father at McCauley Plumbing and Heating, Childress Grain, Edina Lumber Company and in 1996, Tim went to work for the Knox County Road and Bridge and continued until his health failed.

    He enjoyed working with the Knox County 4-H youth as a Shooting Sports instructor for almost ten years and was recognized as the Motter Leader of the year in 2005.  He was a member of the Bow and Gun Club, NRA, and the Baring Country Club. He enjoyed hunting, visiting with everyone, he never met a stranger; but most of all he loved his family. Especially family gatherings like celebrating the 4th of July at the Baring Country Club. Tim had a compassionate soul and would help anyone.

    Tim is survived by his wife Melissa McCauley and their children Gabriel, Alexandra and Grace all of the home in Edina, Missouri; his mother, Evie McCauley of Edina, Missouri; brothers and sisters, Christina McCauley of Edina, Missouri and her sons, Jason and his wife Cheryl McCauley of Warrensburg, Missouri and their children, Jacob, Nellena and Sophia; Christopher and his wife Jessica McCauley of Blue Springs, Missouri and their son Cayden and daughter Kennedy; Ronald and his wife Dawn McCauley of Edina, Missouri and their daughter Rachel and her husband Jacob McKenzie, and their children Michael, Emma and John of Lewistown, Missouri, a son Joseph McCauley of the home; Cynthia “Cindy” and her husband Chuck Long of Greentop, Missouri and their daughter Katie and husband Tom Heywood of Blue Springs, Missouri, a son, Austin of Greentop, Missouri; Thomas and his wife Kirsten McCauley of West DesMoines, Iowa, and his sons, Andrew of Story City, Iowa and Nicholas of Waukee, Iowa; Roger and his wife Patrice McCauley of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania and their sons, Zachary, Mark, Aaron and Brian of the home; Dennis McCauley of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and his sons, Daniel and Matthew and a daughter Lauren all of the home; Robert and his wife Saturday McCauley of Sedalia, Missouri; their sons, Caleb, Dillon and Seth, a daughter, Stormy all of the home; Corrine and her husband Jacob Nelson of Odessa, Missouri and their children, Ember, Dillon, Hannah and Jackson; along with several cousins and a host of friends.

    Tim was preceded in death by his father, Jack McCauley and his grandparents.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, Missouri.

    Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m.

    Burial will be in the St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery in Edina, Missouri.

    Father Joseph Hoi will officiate with the assistance of Deacon Ken Berry and music will be provided by Lisa Bowen and Beth Frye. Pall Bearers will be Bernie Hobbs, Jim Miller, Tim Couch, Billy Early, Doug Kelly and Jeff Strange. Honorary Bearers will be Tim’s nephews, cousins and friends.

    An expression of sympathy in memory of Timothy McCauley may be left to the Knox County 4-H Shooting Sports Program or the Knox County Cancer Fund. A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Doss Funeral Home 208 N. 4th Street, Edina, Missouri 63537.
