Amy Elizabeth Head, 42, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, in Columbia, Missouri.
Amy was born on November 27, 1971, in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of James Clifford and Elizabeth Ann Grice Head.
She attended school in Monroe City, Missouri and received her degree in Graphic Design from Moberly Area Community College in Moberly, Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri in 2008. Amy worked for the Womens Health Services at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
She was active in the Christian Church in Centralia, Missouri, while living there. Amy enjoyed her artistic endeavors of drawing, painting and basket weaving, just to name a few. She loved to share them with her family and friends.
Amy is survived by her parents, Jim and Betsy Head of Moberly, Missouri; her son Maxwell Aaron Head of Moberly, Missouri; a brother, Clifford James Head of Holts Summit, Missouri; grandparents, John and Mary Grice of Browning, Missouri; along with numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roberta Head in 2008 and Merle Head in 2009.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
Amy’s family will receive friends after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Pastor John Gillman will officiate and Bob Heimann will assist in the celebration.
An expression of sympathy in memory of Amy Head may be left to the Locust Hill Cemetery or the Novelty Rural Fire Department. A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Doss Funeral Home 208 N. 4th Street, Edina, Missouri 63537.
