Brenda Kaye Leckbee

    Brenda Kaye Leckbee 58, of Fairfield, Iowa, formerly of Edina, Missouri, passed away April 7, 2-18 at her daughters’ home. 

    Brenda was born March 19, 1960, to Dale L. and Betty (Poor) Dixson.  She was a high school graduate of Knox County School in Edina, MO.  She was united in marriage to Sidney (Sid) Leckbee on August 5, 2016, at Edina, MO.  Brenda worked as a Legal Assistant for Lathrop and Gage for 12 years.  She also worked with her husband at L and S Trucking in Edina, MO.

    Brenda grew up in northeast Missouri, where she loved her dogs, being outside, gardening and going on walks.  She was very active in her kids and grandkids lives. Brenda loved to color and draw pictures with her grandchildren. She liked to read, watch movies and go with her grandchildren to the movies. 

    Left to share Brenda’s memories are her husband, Sydney Leckbee of Edina, MO, her daughters, D. Nicole (Scott) Harris and Amber D. (Daniel) Lopez; her step-kids, Samantha (Tyrell) Parrish, Stacey (Brandon) Baird of Edina, MO., Ron (Scarlett) Leckbee of Novelty, MO; her grandchildren, Dakota and Brayden Wages, Derek, Alex and Adrianna Lopez, Tea, Isaac and Alaina Harris; Step-grandchildren, Kalli and Karsen Parrish, Carter and Madison Baird, Janson Miller, Delilah and Anderson Leckbee; her parents, Dale and Betty Dixson; one brother, Roy (Jolynne) Dixson of Edina, MO; two sisters, Linda Green of Leander, Texas and Tracy Dixson of Urbandale.

    Brenda was preceded in death by her grandson, Darren J. Roberts; nephew, Brian Joseph Dixson; her grandparents, Marion Milton Poor and, Flossie Poor-Enders, John Enders Jr., Roy Dixson, Irene Dixson Campbell and Ellis Campbell.
