    Sally Sue Hogan, 69, of Quincy, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at her residence in Quincy, Illinois.

    She was born on November 19, 1947, in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Bobby G. and Jean Antoinette Benjamin Matticks.

    She attended school in Quincy, Illinois and graduated from the Quincy Senior High School in the Class of 1965.

    Sally married Artie Holt and to this union two children were born; she married Delbert Hogan on November 28, 1981, in Quincy, Illinois and to this union a daughter was born.

    After working for Motorola in Quincy, Illinois, Sally reunited with her high school sweetheart at a school reunion, Rex Gish, and she moved to Columbia, Missouri, where she worked for the Boone County Sheriff’s Department and retired after ten years of service. She returned to Quincy, Illinois after retirement to make her home.

    Sally is survived by her three daughters, Angie and Troy Kite of Edina, Missouri, Tracy and Terry Garrett of LaBelle, Missouri, and Barbara and Sean Goecke of Leavenworth, Kanas; two step daughters, Penny Wagner and Shelly Abbey; three brothers, Daniel and Bea Watson of Bakersfield, California, Kevin Matticks and Alan Matticks both of Quincy, Illinois; a sister Brenda Quenon of Quincy, Illinois; twelve grandchildren, Daniel and Nicole Allensworth, Timothy Allensworth, Cheyanne Goodwin, Brie Anne Kite, Holly Kite, Keanan Kite, Ashley Owens, Kayla and Adam Miller, Erica and Derek Francis, Kyle Spindler, Trent Goecke and Adam Goecke; eighteen great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. A special thank you to her niece, Bobbette Niekamp and Molly Schulte, her hospice caregiver at the end.

    Sally was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Michael Watson and a step daughter, Vicki Dooley.

    At her request cremation was accorded and the family would like to invite the public to a celebration of her life at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017, with the family receiving friends after 1:00 p.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
