Jerod Eugene Hudson, age 34, of Hurdland, MO, formerly of Greentop, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa, IA.
Jerod was born in Shreveport, LA on April 30, 1982 to Steve Hudson and Carol Strobietto.
He married Christina Lynette Hunt on August 15, 2009 in Kirksville, MO.
Jerod graduated from Schuyler County High School in 2000 and was self-employed as a truck driver. Jerod lived life to the fullest and loved to joke and laugh. He was a family man whose life revolved around his wife and children. He also enjoyed spending time working in his shop or verbally sparring with a host of friends on social media. Jerod was a lover of music and had also operated his own D.J. service. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and had a great time attending games with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Chrissy Hudson, and daughters, Lorelei and Isobele Hudson, of the home; son, Steven Hudson, of Kirksville, MO; father, Steve and Marsa Hudson of Seguin, TX; father and mother in-law Rick and Lesa Delaney of Edina, MO; maternal grandmother, Virginia Strobietto, of Kirksville, MO; grandmother-in-law, Daisy Swearingen, of Edina, MO; grandparents-in-law, Bill and Margaret Delaney, of Edina, MO; brothers, Chris Hudson and Rebecca, of San Antonio, TX and Daniel Snowbarger and Nikki, of Queen City, MO; sister, Bobbie Jo Strader and Jeff, of Florida; brother-in-law, Brad Hunt, of Memphis, MO; lifelong friend Casey Keim, and a large, blended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his step-father, Harold Snowbarger.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
Burial will be in the Greensburg Cemetery in Greensburg, MO.
Services will be led by Amanda Belfield, a close friend of the family and Nick Grim will officiate. Casket bearers will be Casey Kiem, Paul Mountain, Daniel Snowbarger, Brandon Bergman, Tony Huttenstine and Austin Slaughter. Honorary bearers will be Larry Kiem, Jim Kiem and Clay Snider.
