    Phyllis Jean Krueger, 87, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, Missouri.

    Phyllis was born on May 9, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of John James and Agnes Cecilia Miller Delaney.

    She attended the St. Agnes Parish and graduated from the Providence High School, of Chicago, in the Class of 1943.

    She met a young man while visiting her grandparents in Baring, Missouri, and was united in marriage to Frank W. Krueger on June 26, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois.

    They returned to Edina, Missouri to make their home and to raise a family. Phyllis had worked for TWA, International Harvester, and the IGA Bakery. She served as Edina City Collector from 1976 until her retirement in 1996 and had worked as a greeter at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.

    She was an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, and had been a member of the Baring Country Club and the Edina Country Club. She enjoyed music, dancing, reading, and entertaining. Her home was always open for visitors. Phyllis loved the time spent with family. It was her greatest enjoyment.

    Surviving are her six children, Mark and wife Joetta Krueger of Kirksville, Missouri, Denise and husband Rod Yuskis of Warsaw, Illinois, Kirk and wife Nancy Krueger of Dallas, Texas, Kyle and husband Jim Clark of Edina, Missouri, Brad and wife Becky Krueger of Waterloo, Illinois, and Kem and wife Janelle Krueger of Laramie Wyoming, nineteen grandchildren, Todd, Nichole, Brigitte, Tara, Courtney, Brock, Chris, Ryan, Kelsey, Alex, Paul, Jonathan, Joshua, Laura, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Collin, Carson and Ava; fourteen great grandchildren, Amelia, Sarah, Victoria, Elisabeth, Alexander, Damen, Delaney, Brooks, Scarlett, Rock, Agnes, Elijah, Josephine, and Thomas; a brother, Donald and his wife Barbara Delaney of Galena, Illinois; a sister, Mary Delores and her husband Frank Rosner of Glenwood, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Marje Delaney of Sea Girt, New Jersey; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends.

    Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes Delaney; her husband, Frank Krueger on May 18, 2011; a brother, Joseph William Delaney; and a sister-in-law, Fran Delaney.

    Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, with the family receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., at Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, Missouri.

    After the Celebration of Life, Phyllis will be cremated and burial will be at a later date in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

    Father Joseph Hoi assisted by Deacon Ken Berry, will officiate the services with Nancy Reardon, organist and Lisa Bowen, vocalist. Her grandchildren will provide music and serve as Pall Bearers along with Honorary Bearers, the staff of Knox County Nursing Home.
