     Mary Finola “Finny” Lane, 58, of Edina, Missouri formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010, at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri.

    Finny was born on December 30, 1951, in Dublin, Ireland, the adopted daughter of Denzil B. and Martha Evelyn Flynn Lane.

    She came to the States, at the age of 2 years, after her adoption and lived most of her life in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1998, after her parents passed away, Finny moved to Edina, Missouri to be near her cousins.

    She worked as certified nurses assistant and a certified medical technician. Finny was a member of the St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri and attended the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Baring, Missouri.

    Finny enjoyed going out to eat, watching movies, spending time with little children but mostly she loved music and could be found singing her favorite hymns.

    She is survived by five cousins, Bob and his wife Ester Bartlett of Santa Maria, California, John and his wife Lenora Flynn of Edina, Missouri, Jamie Clough of Murrysville, Pennsylvania, Joyce Ann Kutchner of Fort Madison, Iowa and JoAnn Temborius of Lombard, Illinois; along with a host of family and friends. She will be missed by the staff and residents of the Knox County Nursing Home.

    Finny was preceded in death by her parents, Denzil and Martha Lane.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2010, at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Baring, Missouri.

    Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

    Burial will be in the St. Aloysius Cemetery in Baring, Missouri.

    Father Joseph Hoi and Father Bill Kottenstette will officiate and music will be provided by Nancy Reardon. Pall Bearers will be Terry Hunolt, Jim Kiley, Bob Delaney, Todd Johnson, Ryan Clark and Eric Hunolt.

    An expression of sympathy in memory of Finny Lane may be left to the St. Aloysius Cemetery at Baring, Missouri. A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Doss Funeral Home 208 N. 4th Street, Edina, Missouri 63537.
