Mary Catherine Kimble Moore, 107, of Edina, Missouri, formerly of Baring, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 12, 2008, at the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, Missouri.
Mary was born the daughter of John Thomas and Grace Wiseman Early, on April 27, 1901 in Baring, Missouri.
She was raised in Baring and attended Baring Elementary School before graduating from the St. Vincent's Academy in Kansas City, Missouri. Mary lived in the Baring Community her entire life except for the time that her husband Bert worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and later when her health failed and she lived in Kirksville, Missouri with her daughter.
On November 24, 1919, in Baring, Missouri, Mary married Bert L. Kimble and he preceded her in death on August 6, 1939 after an auto accident. On September 18, 1950 in Baring, Missouri Mary married Ray Moore and he preceded her in death on July 3, 1973.
Mary was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Baring, Missouri and the St. Aloysius Altar Society and she enjoyed the Baring Bridge Club, where she was a charter member.
Mary is survived by a son, John Early and his wife Marie Kimble of Winchester, Illinois; a daughter, Betty Callaway Lyle of Kirksville, Missouri; a step-daughter-in-law, Janet Moore of Baring, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, eight step-great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; a son, Richard Kimble; a step-son, Ronald Moore; two son-in-laws, Dean Lyle and Leo Callaway; a daughter-in-law, Ann Kimble; five brothers, Harold, Glen, Henry, Mac, and Donald "Bill" Early; two sisters, Cora Early and Hazel McCune; and a great grandson, Brady Callaway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Sunday, September 14, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Baring, Missouri.
Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2008, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Christian Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
Burial will be in the St. Aloysius Cemetery in Baring, Missouri.
Fr. Bill Kottenstette will officiate and music will be provided by Katie Delaney, Maggie Delaney, Kay Montague and Cathy Huffman. Pallbearers will be Bert Kimble, Mike Kimble, Jim Kimble, Joe Kimble, Richard Callaway, Kevin Callaway, John Kimble, Matt Clauss, Mike Huffman, Michael Etzkorn, Brant Callaway, Blake Callaway, Ronald Moore, Brent Moore, Kurt Clauss, Jim Etzkorn and Ike Huffman.
An expression of sympathy in memory of Mary Kimble Moore may be left to the St. Aloysius Altar Society. A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Doss Funeral Home 208 N. 4th Street, Edina, Missouri 63537.
