    Ida Mae Hoffmann, 68, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, at the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, Missouri.

    Ida was born on May 14, 1942, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Harold and Martha Baker Haas.

    She attended school in Ann Arbor, Michigan and graduated from the Pioneer High School in the Class of 1960.

    Ida was a school bus driver, for many years, with the Ann Arbor Schools.

    On December 25, 1987, in Unadilla, Michigan, Ida married Herman David Hoffmann. Dave and Ida had met while he was visiting friends in Michigan from Ohio earlier in the year.

    In 1992 they moved to Edina, Missouri to be near Ida’s mother. She attended the Edina United Methodist Church in Edina, Missouri, active in the choir. She was also active in Choir’s in Michigan and St. Louis, Missouri.

    Ida is survived by her husband Dave Hoffmann of Edina, Missouri; a step son, Gregory Allen and his wife Valerie Hoffmann of Live Oak, Florida; a step daughter, Gwendolyn Ann Hoffmann of Lancaster, Ohio; a brother Dennis and his wife Sandy Haas of Dexter, Michigan; two step grandchildren, John David and Rachael Nicole Hoffmann; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

    She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Martha Haas.

    A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at the Edina United Methodist Church in Edina, Missouri.

    The family will receive friends from 10:00a.m. until service time on Friday.

    Pastor Sam Smith will officiate and music will be provided by Carol Hayes and Billy Mallett.

    Burial will be in the Floral Gardens in Lancaster, Ohio.
