Chad Wesley See, 35, of Rutledge, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at his residence north of Colony, Missouri.
Chad was born on October 15, 1974 in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Michael Gene and Betty Faye Carper See.
He was raised in Lewis County, Missouri and attended the LaBelle Elementary School and later graduated from the Highland High School in the Class of 1994.
Chad worked bridge construction for several years before returning to farming with his dad. He loved hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, demolition derby, golf and just loved the outdoors, especially spending time with his nephew Evan.
Chad is survived by his mother, Betty and her husband Dennis Scifres of LaBelle, Missouri; step-mother, Rosie See of Rutledge, Missouri; two brothers, Michael Heith See of LaBelle, Missouri and Ryan Scifres of LaBelle, Missouri; step-brother, Aaron Bradshaw of Jerseyville, Illinois; step-sisters, Jennalie and her husband David Blackwood of St. Louis, Missouri and Lauralie Bradshaw and her dear friend Chris Smith of Quincy, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Evan See, Shelby and Kailey Thomas; step-nieces and nephews, Zach and Dillon Smith, Andrew and Cole Blackwood; aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Chad was preceded in death by his father, Mike See on May 22, 2009; and a brother, Joe Thomas.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 24, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, with the family receiving friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
Pastor Joe Jorgensen will officiate and Casket Bearers will be David Blackwood, Matt Hoffman, Doug Geisendorfer, Mark Peavler, Kelly Miller, and John Gilbert along with Honorary Bearers, Shawn Parrish, Brian Shultz, Daniel Carper, Travis Hustead, Jeff Klocke and Chris Smith.
Burial will be in the Colony Cemetery in Colony, Missouri.
An expression of sympathy in memory of Chad See may be left to the Hospice of Northeast Missouri or the Colony Cemetery. A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Doss Funeral Home 208 N. 4th Street, Edina, Missouri, 63637.
