    Clara Opal Hall, 92, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011, at her residence in Edina.

    She was born on February 6, 1919, in Hedge City, Missouri, the daughter of Frank Wade and Nettie Luker Dusenberry.

    Clara attended the Hedge City Country School, west of Hedge City, Missouri and graduated from the Novelty High School in Novelty, Missouri, before attending Northeast Missouri State Teachers College in Kirksville, Missouri. She taught in Hedge City for two years before her marriage.

    On August 5, 1939, in Edina, Missouri, Clara married F. B. Hall.

    After their marriage they farmed near Hedge City, moved to Memphis, Missouri in 1970 before returning to Edina, Missouri in 1973 to make their home.

    She was a member of the Hedge City Baptist Church, where she played piano and taught Sunday School before transferring their membership to Memphis Baptist Church in Memphis, Missouri. Clara enjoyed working on the farm and listening to the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball on the radio.

    Clara is survived by her husband F.B. Hall of Edina, Missouri; a daughter, Kathleen and her husband Charles Kessler of Edina, Missouri; two grandchildren, Charlene and her husband Mark Shahan of Kirksville, Missouri and Kenneth and his wife Michelle Kessler of Montgomery City, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Kortney and her husband Ben Holman of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, Morgan Shahan of Columbia, Missouri, Logan Shahan of Kirksville, Missouri, Jessica Kessler and Levi Kessler both of Montgomery City, Missouri; four great great grandchildren, Lexi Holman, Tyler Holman, Payton Holman and Madison Holman; along with several cousins and a host of friends.

    Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.

    Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday with the family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Edina, Missouri.

    Burial will be in the Linville Cemetery in Edina, Missouri.

    Reverend David Howald will officiate and music will be provided by Eddie Anderson, Debbie Peters, and LeaAnn Hamlin. Casket Bearers will be Don Harrison, Frank Hamlin, Delbert Hawkins, Eugene Hall, Jerry Poor, and Mark Shahan.

    An expression of sympathy in memory of Clara Hall may be left to the Knox County Health Department Home Health. A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Doss Funeral Home 208 N. Fourth Street, Edina, Missouri 63537.
