    Eula "Faye" Smithy, 71, of Plevna, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008, at the Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina, Missouri.

    Faye was born on March 29, 1937, the daughter of Sherman Levi and Ora Rachael Adkins Leckbee, in Novelty, Missouri.

    She was raised in Novelty, Missouri and attended the Novelty High School. On August 23, 1956, in Novelty, Missouri, Faye married Robert Gene Smithy and they moved to Plevna, Missouri to raise their family.

    She was a member of the Plevna Christian Church and the Plevna American Legion Post #574.

    Faye is survived by her husband, Bob Smithy of Plevna, Missouri; a son, Rick Smithy and his special friend Lora Jones of Plevna, Missouri; two daughters, Barbara Faye and her husband Frank Jr. Crabtree of Edina, Missouri and Veronica Rae and her husband Robert Roush of Shelbina, Missouri; a brother, Sherman Dale Leckbee of Elsberry, Missouri; a sister Neva Fern and her husband Gene Shores of Shelbina, Missouri; six grandchildren, Chris Roush and his wife Paula of Shelbina, Missouri, Jason Roush and his wife Krystle of Shelbina, Missouri, and David Crabtree and his fiance Melanie Tague of Edina, Missouri, Kimberly and her husband Robert Parsonson of Auburn, Alabama, Angela and her husband Wes Johnson of Perry, Missouri, Adam Roush and his wife Jean of Shelbina, Missouri; twelve great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephew, cousins and a host of friends.

    Faye was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Jessie L. Leckbee, Noble Theodore Leckbee, Norton Eugene Leckbee, Norman Ray Leckbee, and Harry Martin Leckbee; and two sisters, Millie Marie Shores and Norma Bodwell.

    Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.

    Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2008, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Edina, Missouri.

    Bob Leckbee will officiate  with music provided by Martha Marie Huse and Marsha Pinson. Honorary Bearers will be her grandsons, Chris  Roush, Jason Roush, Adam Roush and David Crabtree.
